She's Here!

Talk about the Law of Attraction...this is the power of it.  Last year I got on line and "built" my dream car electronically.  I picked out all the details and when I was finished there she was, an electronic dream waiting to manifest.  The Volkswagen website also has the super cool effect that when you are finished building the car, there is the sound of applause.  I printed out the photo and hung it on my fridge.  I could see myself riding in it and thought about it all the time.  Everything fell into place and here she is.  I heard the applause again when she rolled off the truck.  I'm not disappointed.  She's all I hoped for.  One sunny day with the top down and Everybody Wants to Rule the World playing on the satellite radio, heaven opened up and smiled down on me.  I know this is just the beginning of a long love affair.  Doesn't she look like she's smiling?

Vitamin D, My Way

Enough with the practical, enough with the conservative, and enough with the multi-purpose approach to my mode of transportation.  Forget about how well it will fare on a long trip or if I can haul furniture conveniently or boxes or how comfortable friends will be in the backseat or gas mileage (although I think I’m good on that one).  After all these years, my nest is no longer populated with teenagers and corresponding cargo.  There’s no longer a business that requires trips to Sam’s or hauling crates of class supplies or goods from the latest trade show.  As they say in the advertisement for this little baby, it’s time for more sky.  I’ve waited a long time for this.  Besides that, my doctor says I am deficient in Vitamin D.  That’s me with the matching Prada sunglasses and the Boston and Steve Miller Band blasting from the sound system.  Ahh, I’m feeling better already.  Here she is, straight off the truck.
