Yesterday morning I got up early and headed down to Findlay Market. I met a couple of friends and we spend the morning enjoying all the sights, sounds and smells of this Cincinnati treasure.
We strolled through the market and picked up fresh vegetables, local meats and specialty cheeses. I treated myself to a large bouquet of fresh cut flowers and now have them all over the house. Findlay Market has the best andouille sausage north of New Orleans, so I loaded up on that, fresh Italian sausage and a few links of Mexican chorizo along with a good supply of fresh Amish chicken. The market is at its absolute best during these last days of summer. The street musicians add additional ambiance with their tunes. After shopping we sat down at one of the little coffee shops inside the market and had tea, lemonade, lemon cake, blueberry muffins and freshly made Belgium waffles. If you are ever in Cincinnati, don't miss this amazing place!
